All You Need to Know in Houston
Looking through my photo album, I just realized I haven’t sorted out the pictures from my Thanksgiving trip to Houston—hurry up and save this guide 🐎! If you’re planning a short 3-day, 2-night trip to Houston that’s relaxing without being tiring, while enjoying great food and fun, this note is definitely for you. ⛲️ First, Let’s Talk About Things to Do (Must-Visit Spots): 1⃣️ Galveston Beach 🌊 Houston is a coastal city, so if you love the sea, you must come here! It’s beautiful and quiet, with super clean beaches and seawater, and very few people—pure beauty where the sky and sea merge into one. Bring some snacks to take photos by the sea, sit on the beach and chat, and an afternoon will pass in no time. After watching the sea, drive back to the city for food—perfect timing! 2⃣️ Chapel of St. Basil ⚪⚫ A very stylish building with a half-curtain entrance. It’s an Instagram-worthy church that’s perfect for photos—definitely a must-visit! 3⃣️ The Galleria Mall + Waterwall 💦 It’s the largest mall in Texas and the 7th largest in the US, with a complete range of stores, ice rinks, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. There are dozens of luxury brands alone—I could spend two days here happily 🤣 (make sure to arrange your time well). The famous Waterwall is within walking distance next to the mall, and many people come to take photos 📷. P.S. I didn’t visit places like the Indian Temple or Japanese Garden because Dallas already has them. 🍽 Next, Let’s Talk About Food (A Must-Read for Chinese Cuisine Enthusiasts): Houston has so many amazing Chinese restaurants! One of the reasons my brother and I went this time was to enjoy better food—Chinese cuisine enthusiasts are in for a treat! 1⃣️ Malubianbian Hot Pot 🍢 I used to eat this often in China, so I specifically came to check it out. I remember it’s $28.99 per person for all-you-can-eat. Besides various snacks and hot pot ingredients, there’s also bullfrog (happy face!). You can also get unlimited ice cream and cotton candy for free—it’s simply too cost-effective! 2⃣️ Hong Kong’s Cafe ☕ There’s no Hong Kong-style cuisine in Dallas, so I’ve been craving Hong Kong-style milk tea for a long time and hurried to satisfy my craving. The baked pork chop rice is also delicious. 3⃣️ Ocean Palace 🦞 A well-established dim sum restaurant—we waited in line for a long time… The taste was okay. Next time, I want to try Fung’s Kitchen; I heard it’s really good. 4⃣️ Lao Liu Food Truck 🥞 Authentic Tianjin-style jianbing (pancake wrap). It’s the best choice for a quick and delicious breakfast! 5⃣️ Ziwei Chengdu 🌶️ A Sichuan restaurant that’s been open for several years with good taste. Friends who love spicy food can go for it. 🧋 Bubble Tea in Houston Houston also has many bubble tea shops. I tried Xingfu Tang and Chayan Guanse, which aren’t available in Dallas. Xingfu Tang’s products are consistent in quality, but personally, I think Chayan Guanse is not as good as Bengong’s Tea. 🔍 A Little Note Friends in Houston, feel free to recommend more delicious food and fun places in the comment section—I’ll come to check them out next time! #US #Texas #Houston
