Amoo’s Restaurant – Let’s Try Persian Kabob! 🍖🌯
In the DC area, Middle Eastern food usually means Turkish, Israeli, or Afghan cuisine—this was my first time trying Persian/Iranian flavors! 🇮🇷✨ The restaurant is in McLean, so the decor is quite elegant. I even read online that the chef once cooked for noble families in the Middle East—fancy, huh? 😄👨🍳 The kabob seasoning wasn’t super unique, but the chicken skewers were incredibly tender—definitely in my Top 2 in the DMV! 🥇 The portions are huge, too! The Koobideh (minced beef kabob) was also juicy and tender, though a bit salty for my taste. The lamb skewers were good but not particularly memorable. 🐑😐 For appetizers, we tried an eggplant and kashk dip—it was tasty, but I still prefer the smoky, garlicky kick of Baba Ghanoush. 🍆🧄 Dessert was saffron ice cream—rich in spice and rose flavor, really unique! 🍦🌹 #DMVFood #MiddleEasternCuisine #PersianFood #DMVArea #KabobLovers #GrilledMeat #McLeanEats #IranianFood #FoodDiscovery #TenderChicken #Flavorful #RoseIceCream #CulturalEats #GenerousPortions #ChefSpecial #NewTastes #FoodReview #SaffronSweet #ComfortFood #ExploreFlavors
