Anchorage Food Review 2.0 β Glacier Brewhouse π»
Another highly recommended dinner spot β and it was packed! Even at 7 PM, the place was full. Without a reservation, youβll have to sit at the open bar area πΊ. The decor is classic American, and through the windows, you can see their own beer brewery β their craft beer is famously popular! π FETTUCCINE JAMBALAYA A slightly spicy pasta with cheese β surprisingly well-balanced! π§π₯ It includes smoked sausage (with a nice smoky flavor, though the casing was a bit tough), shrimp, and chicken. The pasta was al dente β perfect for those who like a chewy texture. If you prefer soft pasta, this might be too firm. I loved it! β€οΈ π¦ SIMPLY THE BEST CALAMARI The squid rings were huge and generously portioned! π¦ The batter was thin and crispy β not overly thick β and the squid inside was tender and juicy. It came with a dipping sauce and pickled jalapeΓ±o slices (which tasted amazing!). Great on its own or with the sauce! π₯© PEPPERCORN CRUSTED STEAK The server recommended anything from the wood grill β so we blindly picked this steak π₯©. We ordered it medium-well (no blood, please! π ). The steak was grilled as a whole piece and then sliced β charred on the outside, juicy on the inside. The peppercorn sauce complemented the meat without overpowering it. But the real star was the mashed potatoes! π₯ Creamy with a hint of dairy, topped with crispy fried onion rings that added a perfect crunch. No onion taste β just texture and flavor magic! β¨ π΅ The total came to just over $70 for two people β and we were stuffed! For context, a basic bowl of noodles costs around $15-16 elsewhere. Well worth it! The server said itβs always this busy β people even wait by your table at the bar area for you to finish. Now thatβs popular! π #AnchorageEats #GlacierBrewhouse #AlaskaFood #RestaurantReview #FoodieShare #WorthIt π½οΈπ
