Anchorage is Delicious! 😋
I didn’t have high expectations before going to Alaska, but I was blown away — I’d go back just for the food (especially in Anchorage!). As a seafood lover, here’s my take: 🦀 Inferno Seafood Boil (Google Rating: 4.8 ⭐) My absolute favorite — went twice! Best to reserve in advance. Their king crab is $80/lb and felt more generous than Simon’s 1.25 lbs portion. Tried Lemon Pepper and Cajun — the staff says "Workz" is the most popular. Can’t wait to try it next time! 🍕 Moose‘s Tooth Pub & Pizzeria (4.7 ⭐) Called the “3rd best pizza in the US” — apparently a 2015 ranking (thanks, Wikipedia 😆). As someone who usually frowns at pizza, I loved it! We had the Smoked Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Spread and wings as appetizers. The pizza (random pick, can’t remember 😅) was great. Arctic Apple Ale tasted like juice — so refreshing! 🍺 Total for two: $62 — great value! Would return. 🍻 Glacier Brewhouse (4.4 ⭐) Walked in at 5:30 PM on a weekday — told to wait 1.5 hours, but bar seats were available. Their beer flight isn’t customizable — meh. Food was just okay — not impressed. 🍣 MISO Japanese Sushi & Bar (4.4 ⭐) Japanese run by Koreans — fresh and tasty! Oysters were delicious 🦪, and we added uni sushi after hearing it was available. My husband finished his sushi roll, and my "wonton soup" (actually dumplings) was hearty and flavorful. 🌅 Simon & Seafort‘s Saloon & Grill (4.3 ⭐) Fine dining with great views — but overhyped. We had a 7:30 PM reservation, but it was still crowded. King crab seemed boiled and bland — nothing special. The crab crackers were weak too 🦀😒. Service was rushed (too busy!). The salad and crème brûlée were decent, but not worth the price. Unless you get a window seat at sunset, I’d skip it. #AnchorageEats #AlaskaFoodie #SeafoodLover #TravelAlaska #FoodReview #KingCrab #PizzaGoals #SushiTime 🍽️✨
