Arashiyama and Sagano | A Hidden Gem One-Day Itinerary (2) 🌿

Sagano Torii-moto After leaving Atago Nembutsu-ji Temple and following the downhill path, you'll arrive at Sagano Torii-moto, a Japanese Important Traditional Building Preservation District just like San-nen-zaka, but unlike San-nen-zaka, there are hardly any tourists here! 🍃🌸 You can calmly experience these ancient Kyoto buildings. A specialty here is "ayu rice," which has been around since the Edo period. However, I was so hungry that day that I stopped at the restaurant in Figure 8 and had soba noodles. The noodles were refreshing and light, and the fruits and matcha were also traditionally delicious. It was a pleasant surprise! 🍃🍵 🍃🌸 Mikage Shrine + Arashiyama Bamboo Grove Walking from Sagano Torii-moto, there were few tourists along the way, and the scenery was beautiful at every step, making it very enjoyable. This is the classic Arashiyama sightseeing area, where you can arrange the attractions according to your preferences and schedule. 🍃🌸 I just went to these two. The amulets at Mikage Shrine are small combs, which are super cute. Unlike the bamboo grove path, most tourists are huffing and puffing uphill, while I was happily walking downhill. 🌿 #Kyoto 🌟
