Arcadia, LA | This Sichuan-Style Spicy Pot Has Me Hooked! 🌶️
Can anyone relate? Finding authentic Sichuan maocai in LA is just pure comfort 😭 This spot used to be a popular stall inside an Alhambra supermarket, but now it’s moved to Arcadia with its own spacious dine-in space. (Heads up — don’t go to the Alhambra location anymore!) ⭐️ Build-Your-Own Maocai – $15.99/lb The broth is fragrant and rich with authentic chili oil aroma as soon as it hits the table! You can pick your own ingredients — I stood there forever choosing: black tripe, beef tongue, fatty beef, seafood, and sometimes even frog legs 🐸 Everything’s fresh and clean. I also added half a roast duck ($29.99) — the duck soaks up the spicy broth beautifully. No artificial flavors here — just real, hearty goodness. ⭐️ Hand-Shredded Rabbit Meat It’s rare to find rabbit in the US! 🐰 This was clean, tender, and packed with mala flavor — the more you chew, the more addictive it gets. 💰 Around $20–30 per person One big pot is enough for 2–3 people! 🅿️ Plenty of parking in the plaza (right next to a 99 Ranch Market) — perfect for a spicy meal followed by grocery shopping 🛒 #LAEats #SichuanFood #Maocai #SpicyPot #ArcadiaEats #ChineseFood #ComfortFood
