Arizona | A Tiring but Rewarding Day in Sedona 🌵🏜️
✅ Visited the one-and-only Blue McDonald’s ✅ Conquered Subway Cave ✅ Reached Devil’s Bridge Today’s itinerary was for the brave! 🪖 Although each trail is beginner-friendly, doing them all in one day was intense. We started at 6 AM with a quick stop at the Blue McDonald’s for snacks, then began our hiking adventure! 🥾 1️⃣ Subway Cave Best light is around 10 AM. 🚗 Navigate to Boynton Canyon Trailhead (last restroom stop!). ⚠️ Follow signs for Boynton Trail for ~2 miles. At the giant “alligator tree,” take the right path. When you see the sign saying “Respect the sanctity of this area,” you’re close! The only challenging part is the final climb—requires scrambling. As someone with weak upper body strength and “special time” limitations, I almost gave up halfway 😅 But the view from the top was worth it! ✨ You can walk along the right side inside the cave to see ancient petroglyphs and enjoy a lunch break with epic views. 🥾 2️⃣ Devil’s Bridge Crowded in the afternoon—wait time for photos can be over 1 hour! Returning after dark is dangerous. 🚗 Park at Mescal Trailhead (the restroom there looked like it survived a bombing 💣). ⚠️ Multiple trails lead to Devil’s Bridge; I chose the easiest one. The only hard part is the steep steps near the bridge. The longest wait was for photos—everyone was patient and friendly though! 📸 🏠 Stayed at an Airbnb hosted by a lovely grandma. After today’s hikes, my legs were completely gone… 😵 She even prepared bath salts for me—a perfect way to recover. Hoping my legs grow back by tomorrow! 🌱 #USRoadTrip #Arizona #Sedona #Hiking #AmericanWest #TravelUSA #Adventure #NatureLovers 🥾📸✨
