Around Baltimore | Honey Pig BBQ 🍯🐷

Even though I moved away from Maryland over a year ago, I’ve been wanting to share some of the amazing food I enjoyed around Baltimore during the pandemic. The DMV area is truly the king of Korean food in the U.S.! Honey Pig is probably the most famous spot—and one of the first places I heard about after moving there. It might be because it’s open late and has a very Americanized vibe, attracting lots of non-Korean customers. The Ellicott City location often had long lines on weekend nights! 🥩 Must-Order Items: Beef brisket and pork belly are our go-to choices. They’re served with grilled kimchi and other sides. The meal comes with a stone pot egg custard and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)—standard for Korean BBQ spots in the area. I always get the sundae guk (blood sausage soup)—absolutely legendary! 😋 (Sorry, no photos—I can’t believe I never took any!) Honey Pig’s signature honey sauce is what makes the beef brisket shine. Although I’ve since explored more authentic Korean BBQ spots, I still come back here occasionally when I crave that sauce or the sundae guk. The plaza where Honey Pig is located also has other great late-night spots like Hot Pot Hero, Kung Fu Tea, and Songsang Tea—perfect for post-meal treats! #Baltimore #JHU #BaltimoreFood #BaltimoreEats #DMVFood #KoreanBBQ #HoneyPig
