Around Boston| How to Spend a Short Trip in Burlington VT🌇🍺

Around Boston| How to Spend a Short Trip in Burlington VT🌇🍺 Burlington VT is such a gem! It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway year-round—hiking in summer🥾, leaf-peeping in fall🍁, and it has everything a vacation needs: lakes, wineries, museums, bustling food streets, artsy districts… You name it!⛱️ Okay, calling it “around Boston” is a bit of a stretch~ 🚗 It’s about 3.5 hours from Boston by car, and 2-3 days here make for the perfect little vacation! (Story of my life… Who chose to visit during a blizzard, in 20-degree weather?🥲 Oh right, me.) 🎡 Things to Do: 1⃣️ Church St Marketplace The liveliest pedestrian street! Tons of great restaurants and shops~ Winter brings twinkling Christmas trees🎄, summer has outdoor bands🎵, and it feels totally European. Homeport is huge and amazing—you’ll never want to leave! 2⃣️ Lake Champlain + Waterfront Park A massive lake where you can boat🚣‍♀️ or take cruises in summer. Strolling the waterfront park is so relaxing—wind in your hair, beautiful views… pure bliss. 3⃣️ ECHO Leahy Center A lakefront science museum, great for kids (or curious adults!). Learn about lake ecosystems and cool science stuff🔬—super interactive and fun. 4⃣️ Farmers Market Insanely busy every Saturday in summer! Fresh produce, homemade snacks, handcrafted goods… Wander around and leave with a full bag (and heart)~ 🥬🍞 5⃣️ Oakledge Park Highly recommend! Caught the most stunning winter sunset here🌇, plus awesome treehouses and boulders from tens of thousands of years ago. Every photo looks like a movie scene—breathtaking. 6⃣️ Vintage Inspired Lifestyle Marketplace A vintage/secondhand market with retro finds, old furniture, vintage clothes… If you love all things vintage, you’ll be in heaven~ 🕰️ 7⃣️ Ben & Jerry’s Factory There’s a guided tour (honestly, it’s just okay😂), but the “ice cream graveyard” next door is hilarious🪦—it memorializes discontinued flavors, with little tombstones explaining why they’re gone. Cute and quirky! 8⃣️ Lake Champlain Chocolate Flagship Local chocolate flagship store—their truffles are chef’s kiss! Rich, smooth, not too sweet. Perfect souvenirs~ 🍫 9⃣️ Vermont Teddy Bear Factory Teddy bear🧸 factory! Tours cover the history and production line, and you can even make your own bear—with a “birth certificate”! I was “awww”-ing the whole time—total heart melter. 🔟 Shelburne Farm A huge farm with a beautiful mansion. Hike, interact with animals🐑🐄, and check their events calendar for activities like milking cows or fruit picking—great for families. 1⃣️1⃣️ Shelburne Museum An outdoor art museum with awesome folk art. Closed during winter days, but the night light show is magical✨—so atmospheric. #BostonLife#BostonWeekend#AroundBoston#BostonDayTrips#Vermont#BostonRoadTrip#VermontUSA#Burlington#USTravel#EastCoastRoadTrip#USLesserKnownSpots#USGetaway
