Around Boston | Farm-to-Table & Sunset in Concord
Ever since I moved to the suburbs, my food exploration has taken a fun detour—and I was pleasantly surprised to find several highly-rated restaurants in the small town of West Concord! 🍽️ Woods Hill Table 📍 Address: 24 Commonwealth Ave, Concord, MA 01742 This spot specializes in farm-to-table cuisine, and they update their menu every season. From ingredient selection to plating, and even the decor—everything feels thoughtfully done and totally impressive ✨ Beef Tartare: Served with quail eggs and crispy fried onion bits. It’s super fresh and light—such a delight! House Sourdough (Complimentary): Fluffy yet chewy, with that perfect sourdough tang. Mains: The roasted chicken was tender and flavorful; the smoked duck leg looked dark (a little intimidating at first!) but was actually really juicy. That said, the portions were pretty average, so the value-for-money isn’t amazing. Dessert: Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake—loved it! The texture was so rich and layered, with just the right balance of sweet and tangy 🍰 We went for dinner on a Friday, and it was way busier than we expected. We didn’t order drinks, but with tax and tip, it came out to around $65 per person—definitely on the pricier side. Makes you wonder… is farm-to-table just a “smart tax”? 😂 🦞 Twin Seafood Concord Another gem in West Concord—this unassuming little spot splits its space: half sells fresh seafood, the other half serves fried seafood. Their Fried Scallops are a must-try—huge, plump, and so juicy inside! No sad, dry scallops here 🤤 📍 Things to Do in Concord (For Visitors) If you’re not from the area, Concord has plenty of iconic spots to explore after eating: Minuteman National Historical Park (for history buffs!)Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House (the home where Little Women was written)The world-famous Walden Pond Concord’s downtown is also steeped in history—wandering around with autumn leaves falling around you would be absolutely magical 🍂 Ending a Friday with good food and a beautiful sunset 🌇—nothing beats that mix of joy and anticipation for the weekend! #BostonLife #BostonEats #BostonArea #BostonDayTrips #BostonFoodie #BostonWeekend #BostonWeekendGuide #ConcordMA #FarmToTable
