Around Chicago | Have a Fun Day as a Happy Monkey ๐Ÿ’

If you love outdoor activities, don't miss this great place to burn some energy before the northwest wind starts blowing. Spend a day climbing and having fun like a happy monkey! ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿ“ The Forge Adventure Park & Ziplines It's about a 40-minute drive west of Chicago. ๐ŸŽซ The price on the official website seems to be $95, but make sure to check Groupon for discountsโ€”you can save up to $40! The price is the same for weekdays and weekends. After purchasing, remember to register your time on the official website using the voucher. ๐Ÿง— On the day, four towers were open. At first, I felt a bit disappointed, but then I realized four towers were more than enough. There's a tutorial at the beginning to teach you how to use the safety locks. You need to clip on two during the climb, although the staff said one would be enough for protection. A few times, I realized halfway through that the second one wasn't clipped on, which was pretty scary! The entire climbing experience really worked my biceps, back muscles, core, and thigh musclesโ€”haha, it felt great! But it couldn't compare to some of the kids there who moved so effortlessly and swiftly. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ ๐Ÿšฃ Forge is divided into two parts: the aerial courses and a boating and other recreational areas. We thought it would be too much to do everything in one day, so we just stuck to the aerial zone. If you're planning to do the aerial courses, remember to save the zipline for last, as it takes you directly to the entertainment area where you need to return all your gear. ๐Ÿ’ฆ It's a good idea to bring some water and energy snacks. There's free storage for your bags near the towers, but a small backpack would be even more convenient. ๐ŸŽ’ ๐Ÿฆ I've also been to the chain Go Apes before, and there are some differences. Go Apes feels more like a leisurely monkey adventure in the jungle, with ziplines of varying lengths connecting each stage. Forge, on the other hand, focuses more on the different aerial walking courses. They're taller and more physically demanding, with only one zipline. ๐ŸŒณ #Chicago #AroundChicago #Zipline
