Around NYC๏ฝFinger Lakes & Corning Museum of Glass ๐๐ฎ
No class on Thursday = perfect time for a spontaneous trip! This time I joined a 2-day Niagara Falls tour. Day one included some warm-up spots around New York State. My butt definitely felt the long ride from NYC ๐ โฆ Day two highlights are in the next post! ๐ Corning Museum of Glass Caught a live glassblowing demo ๐ญ๐ฅ and wandered around โ the glass art here is absolutely stunning! The town is named after Corning because the glass factory employs so many locals. If youโre interested, you can even book a glassmaking experience in their studio in advance! ๐ Watkins Glen State Park Located in the Finger Lakes region ๐๏ธ, this park features unique sedimentary rock formations shaped by glaciers and streams. Youโll find plenty of cute waterfalls here โ though theyโre pretty modest compared to Niagara Falls ๐ ๐ Finger Lakes Such a peaceful and retire-friendly area ๐๐ท. The Finger Lakes are made up of 14 long, narrow lakes running north to south โ named for their finger-like shape. The region is also known for its vineyards and wine! #NYC #NYCLife #WeekendInNYC #NYCGetaway #CorningGlass #FingerLakes #NiagaraFalls
