Around Orange County | Must-Eat Yakitori Every Month! 🍢
I’ve loved this yakitori spot since college—and it’s still consistently good! Worth revisiting again and again. I’ve posted about it so many times, but I just have to share once more! The vibe here is full of life and energy—bustling and warm. Sitting at the bar is especially fun—you can watch the chefs grill over charcoal right in front of you. They also have a MEGA Sapporo—a seriously huge beer! 🍻 My go-to skewers every time: • Gizzard – Just a sprinkle of salt, so fragrant! • Cherry Tomato w/ Bacon – Juicy tomato wrapped in crispy bacon 🥓🍅 • Thigh w/ Green Onion – Tender chicken with sweet, grilled scallions • Cartilage – Crunchy chicken cartilage 🐔 • Special Heart – Super tender, a must-try ❤️ • Kobe Beef Rib w/ Garlic – Rich and savory with a garlic kick 🥩🧄 • Intestine – A must for pork large intestine lovers • Liver – Super tender chicken liver—so good if you’re into it • Skin – Crispy, grilled chicken skin with tasty sauce—always order a second round! • Shiitake Mushroom – Grilled until smoky and irresistible 🍄 If it gets too rich, their yuzu sauce is perfect for cutting the grease. Great for after-work drinks or weekend hangs—nothing beats Japanese yakitori and a cold beer! I seriously love this place—I come every single month! Heads up: Don’t go to the wrong spot—the ramen shop is next door. While waiting, grab egg tarts and cookies from Paderia across the street! 🥧🍪 🍢: Shin Sen Gumi Robata & Yakitori 📍: 18315 Brookhurst St, Ste 1, Fountain Valley What’s your favorite yakitori order?
