Arriving in Des Moines, the capital of Iowa

💛Though not a large city, it is full of surprises and a delicate cultural atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the magnificent State Capitol—it might just be the most beautiful one I’ve seen in the U.S. ✨The architecture is solemn yet elegant, and the gilded dome glows brilliantly under the sunlight. 🌷Crossing the Women of Achievement Bridge, its simple and modern design pays tribute to women’s historical accomplishments, creating a gentle contrast with the distant skyline. 💐The Lauridsen Skatepark is conveniently located in downtown Des Moines. The Chinese pavilion in the Asian Gardens stands quietly, where locals occasionally stroll or sit in meditation. 🍁The downtown streets are remarkably clean, with murals and graffiti adorning the building facades. 🌅My favorite spot is the Pappajohn Sculpture Park, especially after dark when the lights turn on—the modern sculptures take on a cyberpunk-like futuristic vibe under the night sky, 🌈yet blend wonderfully with the surrounding urban atmosphere. As for the Des Moines Art Center, designed by I.M. Pei, I was even more captivated by the play of light and shadow within the architecture itself. #SculpturePark #Iowa #DesMoines
