Asian Sweet Bakery β A Taste of Chinese Breakfast in Madison! π
On a chilly morning, nothing hits the spot like a warm Chinese breakfast! We recently tried Asian Sweet Bakery β one of the few spots in Madison serving classic morning eats like congee, youtiao, and soy milk. Hereβs the rundown: π Location: Small shop with very limited parking π. Street parking might take some patience. The dining area is tiny (only 2-3 tables) and not well-heated βοΈ β strongly recommend taking your food to-go unless you want to eat shivering! π½οΈ What We Ordered: Pork & Century Egg Congee π₯£ β Rich, flavorful, and loaded with ingredients! Highly recommend. Soy Milk & Youtiao (Fried Dough Stick) β Soy milk was good, but the youtiao was served cold π¬. They canβt reheat it properly (only microwave = soggy texture). Better to take it home and air fry it! Egg Tarts β Pretty decent, though also not served warm. Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup β Wontons were okay, but the noodles were overwhelming and the broth was bland. Veggie & Pork Bun β Not recommended π ββοΈ (thick dough, minimal filling, lacking flavor). π΅ Price: Around $35 for three people β affordable and filling! π¦ Final Verdict: A rare option for traditional Chinese breakfast in Madison. Great when youβre tired of brunch and want something simple and familiar. Not perfect, but worth a try β especially if you take it to go! #Madison #MadisonFood #ChineseBreakfast #AsianBakery #FoodReview #Congee #Youtiao
