We spent two full days in Aswan, and the Nile River was absolutely stunning!!! The driver waited 20 mins for our luggage with no extra charge ππ¨ ποΈ Attractions 1οΈβ£ Philae Temple π inDrive: 100 EGP one way | Black car (no internet): 150 EGP after bargaining π« Ticket: 550 EGP/person (Visa only) β΅ Boat: 500 EGP/boat/hour (cheaper if sharing) π Went at 10 AM β very sunny but fewer people π The temple is small but beautiful. The boat ride felt like entering a game world! Allow more time for photos β 1 hour is enough for a quick visit. 2οΈβ£ Old Cataract Hotel Afternoon Tea π« 1000 EGP/person (cash accepted, deductible from consumption) π Arrived at 4 PM β few people, best seats available βοΈ Perfect lighting for photos! But avoid the afternoon tea set β itβs terrible! β 3οΈβ£ Abu Simbel Temple π inDrive private car: 4400 EGP/6-seater (2024 new car) Understanding driver β waited 3.5 hrs instead of 2 hrs with no extra charge β³ π« Ticket: 765 EGP/person (Visa only) π Departed at 7 AM, arrived at 10:30 AM β very sunny but fewer crowds π The temple is magnificent! Met a funny old man who helped us take photos with a "golden key" π β tipped 50 EGP for two people. 4οΈβ£ Nile Sunset Felucca Ride π° 400 EGP/boat/hour β negotiate directly at the pier near KFC π€ π Best to go earlier β we only caught the second half of the sunset π The boatman asked for a tip β we refused due to average service π ββοΈ π½οΈ Food Recommendation Makka Restaurant (~800 EGP for two) π Ate here three times β highly recommended!
