Cars pay 20 EGP to enter parking. Better to book round trip + wait (2h) for 300 EGP. Boat to temple: 300 EGP round trip (1h is enough, but book 2h). Lunch at Old Nubian Guest House Philae & Restaurant π½οΈ: Boat transfer is free! Contact via TripAdvisor. Stay near KFC on mainland π¨ (not on the island β better transport). Island ferry: Aswan Island (Elephantine) Koti Side β 10 EGP/person. π Food Rec: Try KING JAMAICAβs FIDH TAGINE β delicious Middle Eastern camel meat πͺ + fresh guava juice πΉ! Show the restaurant name at the public pier near KFC β theyβll pick you up by free boat! Great ambiance + tasty food (see P6). π Old Cataract Hotel & Nubian Museum: Both within 500m of KFC. Nearby park: Feryal Gardenβ same sunset views for only 10 EGP! But still highly recommend afternoon tea/dinner at the hotel β for just ~100 RMB, enjoy 5-star service πββοΈ. This historic hotel (100+ years) hosted Agatha Christie and Churchill β absolutely gorgeous! (I wrote a whole post about it β€οΈ) Day 8: Abu Simbel Temple 3000 EGP for 6 people in a van (8h round trip + 2h visit).
