Aswan is Home to My Favorite Temple in Egypt!
If there’s one city in Egypt that truly captivated me, it’s definitely Aswan — all because of the breathtaking Philae Temple 🛕✨ How to Get to Philae Temple? 🚘 Use the inDrive app and enter "Philae Temple" as your destination. Since it’s near the pier and taxis are scarce, I recommend booking a round-trip private car. Many drivers will offer to wait 2–3 hours for you. 💰 Cost: 250–300 EGP (from KFC Pier area — use this as a reference!). 🎫 Tickets & Boat Ride All Egyptian attractions only accept card payments 💳. You can also ask a local to pay with their card — give them cash + a small tip. Several people near the ticket counter will offer to help. After buying tickets, walk down to the pier — lots of boats are waiting ⛵️. ⬇️ Philae Temple is only accessible by boat! Negotiate a private boat for 250–300 EGP for 2–3 hours. Get the boatman’s number and call him when you’re done exploring 📞. 🛍️ Souvenir Alert! Both the ticket pier and the temple pier sell beautiful handmade souvenirs. I bought a traditional instrument (like an erhu) for my kid — and I never saw it again in other cities! If you like something, buy it there 🎁 — and don’t forget to bargain hard! 😉 We went in the morning — a bit crowded with tour groups, but the sunlight made everything magical ☀️. We skillfully avoided the crowds 😉. Many visitors prioritize Abu Simbel (8-hour round trip — too exhausting for us!), but we chose Philae Temple + Nubian Village instead — no regrets! 🍽️ Food Tip There’s an island right across from Philae Temple. I made a deal with the boatman: temple first, then lunch on the island 🏝️. We paid 350 EGP total since he waited for us to eat too! #EgyptTravel #Aswan #PhilaeTemple #NileBoat #SoloTravel #HiddenGems #TravelTips 🌍❤️
