When winter comes, there's nothing better than a steaming hot bowl of Korean soup! This time, I’m introducing a long-standing favorite that continues to impress year after year — a true go-to for many locals, especially Koreans in the know. Life Soup Korean Restaurant is famous for its soul-warming broths. While the menu used to be quite concise, they’ve slowly introduced new dishes over time — some aren’t even printed yet, so keep an eye on the handwritten specials posted on the walls! 📝✨ Here’s what we tried this time: 🦑 Seafood & Green Onion Pancake To be honest, this was just okay — a bit too oily for my taste, and the squid was a little tough. Not my favorite, but worth a try if you love pancakes. 🥓 Assorted Sundae (Blood Sausage & Offal Platter) Served with a savory dipping sauce, this mix of blood sausage and various innards was rich, flavorful, and very authentic! A must-try for adventurous eaters. 🍖 Pork Rib Soup with Abalone & Vermicelli This seems to be a newer addition — you won’t find it on the printed menu yet. The soup comes with two large pork bones, small abalone, shredded egg, glass noodles, and more. The broth is delicately sweet and deeply satisfying. 🌶️ Yangpyoeng Hangover Soup (Spicy Beef Tripe Soup) This is their classic signature dish and my personal must-order every visit! It’s mildly spicy (you can add extra chili oil if you like more heat) and loaded with beef tripe, stomach, blood cake, tender beef, bean sprouts, and dried vegetables. So hearty and full of flavor — perfect for tripe lovers! 🥰 🥣 Ox Knee Soup The broth is milky white, clean-tasting, and light. If you prefer stronger flavors, just add a little salt and white pepper. One bowl leaves you feeling nourished with loads of collagen goodness. This place truly shines through its soups — comforting, genuine, and made with care.
