Atlanta|Birthday Dinner Fail at a Michelin-Recommended French Spot 🎂
Celebrated my birthday recently at Tiny Lou’s — a place not widely posted about, tucked inside a hotel. The ambiance was lovely, but the food? Not so much. 😬 I was excited to try their Beef Tartare, highly praised on Google. But what arrived looked nothing like the photos online — the color was off, and the meat tasted sour and spoiled. The chef vaguely mentioned “seasonal differences” and took it away without much explanation. We ordered the Foraged Mushroom Risotto instead, but it was overwhelmingly salty — barely edible after one bite. The Bouillabaisse had an odd, unidentifiable flavor (though the broth wasn’t salty and the shrimp were nicely cooked). The only saving grace was the Steak Frites — juicy, flavorful, and honestly better than the steak at Bones! 🥩✨ The worst part? The meal took over 2.5 hours — we waited around for two hours and ate in just 20 minutes. Maybe slow, romantic dining isn’t for me… or maybe the kitchen was just off that night. 📍 Tiny Lou’s 789 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306 Beautiful setting, but the execution fell flat — especially for a special occasion. #AtlantaEats #FrenchCuisine #BirthdayFail #MichelinRecommended #SteakFrites #DiningReview #ATLRestaurants #HitOrMiss #SpecialOccasion #FoodieTruths #NotImpressed
