Atlanta|Filipino Food — So Good, But Book Ahead! 🍽️🔥

This place is seriously popular. Last Sunday, my friends and I showed up and were told the wait would be over an hour — we ended up going to Mamak next door instead. This time, my friend booked 5 days in advance. When we arrived, the place was packed, and a line was already forming out the door. Definitely reserve online if you don’t want to wait! 📅👥 The longganisa rice I really wanted was sold out, but here’s what we ordered instead: 🐟 Pampano (Fried Golden Pompano) Crispy, tender, and served with a tangy-spicy sauce that cuts the richness perfectly. A generous portion, too! 🐷 Crispy Pata (Deep-Fried Pork Knuckle) Marinated well, with super crunchy skin and soft, gelatinous tendons. The sauce it came with was just okay — better dipped in the fish sauce! 🍜 Palabok (Shrimp Sauce Noodles) Thin rice noodles tossed in a rich shrimp-based sauce, topped with pork, egg, and tofu. Unique, savory, and unlike any flavor I’ve had before — not sweet or sour, but deeply umami. 🥭 Mango Juice Freshly blended, but very sweet — maybe ask for less sugar if you prefer. Three dishes + juice came to $78. Portions are big, flavors are bold, and service was warm and attentive (they even sang happy birthday for another table! 🎂). Already planning my next visit for grilled prawns, Chicken Adobo, and that missed longganisa rice! 📍 Kamayan ATL 5150 Buford Hwy NE, Suite A230, Doraville, GA 30340 ⏳ Closed Mon, Tue, Wed — plan accordingly! #AtlantaEats #FilipinoFood #KamayanATL #DoravilleEats #MustTry #FriedFish #CrispyPata #AsianFlavors #BookAhead #ATLFoodScene #FlavorAdventure
