Atlanta|Korean-run Malatang that Actually Hits! 🌶️🍲

I was skeptical about Korean-made malatang… but turns out — it’s really good! Not sponsored, not trying to throw shade — but after trying it, I couldn’t help comparing. To my taste, this spot beats the popular chain by a mile. (Just my opinion — you do you! 😉) Went with my Korean friend who loves malatang. She usually goes tobut I suggested we try this Korean-run place instead. I ordered spicy level 4 — the owner said it’s equivalent to buldak fire noodle heat. As a Hunan girl, I wasn’t scared… and honestly, level 4 felt more like mild spice to me (maybes “no spice” level? 🥲). But flavor-wise — really solid! Served in a personal pot that keeps simmering, so it gets richer as you eat. The broth tasted authentic and well-seasoned. Plus, the owner has great taste — played IU’s songs the whole hour we were there. 🎶 🍜 Must-add: Korean potato starch noodles — chewy, bouncy, perfect in the broth. Veggies and other add-ins shine here too — next time I’ll skip the meat, it was too much! Kind of scary how good Koreans are at making malatang… 😅 Going back tomorrow with a friend to try the rose cream broth version! P.S.… Hoping Yang Guofu opens in Atlanta soon! 📍 SORIMMARA 3350 Steve Reynolds Blvd, Ste 405, Duluth, GA 30096 #AtlantaEats #Malatang #KoreanMalatang #SpicyFood #ComfortFood #DuluthEats #IUPlaylist #NoodleLover #ATLFoodScene #HiddenGem #TrySomethingNew
