Atlanta｜Sashimi Joy — Sweet Shrimp Straight to the Heart! 🍤💕

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day! Mine was delicious, thanks to a friend-recommended Japanese spot in Atlanta. While many on Red have raved about their sukiyaki, we went for sashimi and sushi this time. 🍣 Fuji (Chef’s Sashimi Selection) – 7 types, 15 pieces. Salmon and tuna were my favorites — white tuna was rich but a bit too fatty for me. 🦐 Sweet Shrimp – A MUST ORDER! So fresh, so sweet — but pricey at $8 per shrimp. Worth every bite though, and the fried heads were crispy and fragrant. Could easily eat 10! 🍱 Illuminate Roll – HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Inside: yellowtail + salmon | Outside: spicy tuna, avocado, topped with spicy aioli, eel sauce, sesame, kaiware sprouts. So flavorful we ordered a second round. 🥢 Samurai Roll – Good, but Illuminate was better. Solid combo of yellowtail, chives, avocado, salmon, and spicy tuna. ❌ Sashimi Roll – Skip this one. Wrapped in cucumber with mint leaves inside — the mint totally overpowers the fish. Not a pleasant mix. 🍜 Udon – Just okay for me (I’m not a big miso or udon person anyway).
