Atlanta | Dragon Island Dim Sum Review 🥢
Tried the much-talked-about Dragon Island Dim Sum recently — a no-tip, fully self-service spot. Here’s my honest take after sampling some classic dishes: 🍲 Pork & Century Congee The best of the bunch! Smooth and comforting, with just the right amount of ginger. ⚠️ But: The rice was too broken down, and the century egg was overly minced. Still, flavor-wise — solid. 🥚 Hong Kong Egg Tart Not a fan. The crust wasn’t flaky or buttery, and the filling was just plain sweet. Overhyped, in my opinion. 🐔 Phoenix Claws (Chicken Feet) Standard taste, similar to other ATL dim sum spots — but the sauce was noticeably sweeter than usual. 🦐 Shumai Decent! Packed with shrimp and well-seasoned. Not mind-blowing, but satisfying. 🏁 Final Thoughts Ambiance: 🌟🌟 Tables could’ve been cleaner Service: 🌟 Slow (maybe soft-opening issues), wrong order delivered, no apology offered Food: 🌟🌟 Mixed bag — some okay bites, nothing exceptional A no-frills, no-tip dim sum experience. Maybe good for a quick fix, but don’t expect greatness. #AtlantaEats #DimSum #DragonIsland #HonestReview #NoTip #DuluthEats #FoodieTruth 🥟☕
