Atlanta Eats & Drinks – Japanese BBQ Buffet 🔥🥩

It’s finally open! I’ve never been to the downtown location, but I’ve already visited the new Chubby Cattle BBQ in Duluth twice — once thanks to an invite from friends, and the second time right after returning from Paris, craving something rich and satisfying! 😂🍖 Both times, I chose the Diamond set. Flavors: The meat quality is outstanding, especially the specialty meats (limited to 2 per person). Personally, I found the otoro a bit too fatty — one bite and the richness hits hard! My favorite was the top blade, perfectly balanced in marbling. 🥩✨ For special dishes, I highly recommend the scallops — sweet, plump, and buttery. 🍥 From the hot menu, the chawanmushi was incredibly smooth and flavorful, and the tom yum soup was loaded with ingredients. On my second visit, I tried the rice soup — mildly spicy with tender meat, surprisingly delicious! 🍲❤️ My go-to meat pick was the Australian wagyu shoulder with egg wash — excellent fat-to-lean ratio, though it’s tricky to grill just right. From the buffet station, don’t miss the cheesy sweet potato (a sweet treat) and king oyster mushrooms (great for cutting through richness). 🧀🍠 Ambiance: The space is modern and bright — even brighter than the hot pot spot across the street. Each table has a built-in exhaust around the grill, so smoke is minimal compared to charcoal BBQs. 🏮💨 Just watch out for corners near the sauce station when it’s crowded! Service: Service was consistently attentive. On the first visit, the server grilled everything for us but seemed stretched thin (wagyu needs constant attention!). Now, they’ve adjusted — staff grill the premium cuts, then you take over. It’s fun, though I grilled way too slowly! 😅👨🍳 Verdict: Definitely worth trying! Go with the set that fits your appetite — meat quality is top-tier across the board. Compared to wagyu hot pot, the BBQ feels richer since the fat locks in when grilled. Balance it with veggies to keep things light. 🥬💚 #ChubbyCattleBBQ #JapaneseBBQ #Wagyu #AtlantaEats #AllYouCanEat #DuluthFood #GrillYourOwn #FoodieAtlanta #MeatLovers #BuffetLife
