Atlanta Eats Diary | Part 1 🍽️✨

I returned to Atlanta with a mission: eat my way through the city like it was 2015 again — and I’m proud to say, mission (mostly) accomplished! Though a few spots didn’t make the cut, I left with zero regrets and a very happy stomach. Here’s a delicious recap of my flavorful trip down memory lane: 1️⃣-2️⃣ Good Harvest – Mìzōng Pickled Pepper Frog Pot 🐸 A tangy, lightly spicy broth with tomato and pickled peppers. We started with the tender frog legs, let the veggies simmer soft, and finished by adding hand-pulled noodles — chewy, slurpable, and soaked in that sour-spicy magic! The durian pancake was a sweet surprise, and their grilled fish portion? Literally twice the size of what you’d get in Seattle 🐟🔥. 3️⃣-4️⃣ Persepolis – Persian Feasts Can you believe everything in pic 3 (except the eggplant dip) was complimentary? Freshly baked naan, better than any I’ve had in Seattle 🫓. The owner taught us a pro move: smash the grilled tomato into your rice, mix with kebabs, and enjoy pure bliss. Loved both the Beef Barg and Kubideh! (Shoutout to Rumi’s Kitchen too — their grilled branzino is 🔥) 5️⃣ Zyka – Authentic Indian Flavors Located near India Town, this place is legit — packed with Indian diners! We devoured Kadhai Chicken, Bindi Masala, Chicken 65, and fluffy naan. Spicy, fragrant, and full of soul 🇮🇳. 6️⃣-7️⃣ 678 Korean BBQ – My #1 K-BBQ in ATL Charcoal-grilled beef combo (Combo B) + a server who grilled everything to perfection = pure joy. Unlimited steamed egg and cheesy corn 🌽! Insider tip: ask for lettuce wraps to enjoy your meat the fresh, crunchy way. Ended with a soothing noodle soup — we’re Hunan natives but preferred the non-spicy version. So good! 8️⃣ Antico Pizza – The Real Deal 🍕 Back in my student days, we ordered cheap chains for events. This time, I made sure our recruiter went with Antico — the BEST pizza in Atlanta (imo!). We ordered extras so students could take some home… though I’m still crying inside that I missed out on the top flavors 😭 9️⃣-🔟 Bo Bo Garden – An ATL Classic For many of us who studied here, this was our first taste of home in ATL. So glad it’s still open and still serving comfort in clay pots ❤️. 1️⃣1️⃣-1️⃣2️⃣ Good Harvest… Again! We couldn’t resist — went back for more frog hot pot! Also tried a combo: black pepper beef ribs + golden frog. Not as mind-blowing as the pickled pepper version, but still delicious. And yes, we re-ordered the durian pancake. No regrets! To be continued… 📖 #AtlantaEats #FoodDiary #GlobalEats #ChineseFood #KoreanBBQ #PersianFood #IndianFood #PizzaLover #EatLikeALocal #NostalgiaBites
