Atlanta Restaurant Review|Prefecture 🎌✨

This year, I tried a relatively under-the-radar Japanese omakase spot that stands out for its focus on Wagyu beef. Unlike traditional sushi omakase, here the star is premium beef—though you can still order à la carte if you prefer! They offer two omakase tiers: 6-course menu for $115 per person 8-course menu for $165 per person After comparing the two, we noticed the higher tier included an extra Wagyu chef’s cut and a Wagyu slider, so we opted for the 6-course—leaving room to add more dishes if needed. Surprisingly, the six courses left us perfectly satisfied. What a generous and well-paced experience! 🥩💫 Highlights from the 6-course menu: 🔥 A5 NY Striploin — Each bite melted like butter, with that luxurious marbling only true Japanese Wagyu can deliver. An unforgettable taste and texture! 🦞 Lobster Rice — Sweet, tender lobster over seasoned sushi rice—simple yet incredibly flavorful. 🥟 3-Bite Appetizer — Including a rich, savory oxtail "taco" that set the tone beautifully. 🐟 Sashimi Trio — One variety had the crisp texture of white fish but the rich, buttery finish of otoro. Truly exceptional! A sweet Valentine’s Day touch included heart-shaped napkins and post-meal dark chocolate truffles—a lovely, personal detail. 💝 Overall, Prefecture offers a memorable, Wagyu-centered omakase with great value and thoughtful execution. I left already wanting to return to explore their à la carte menu! If you're looking for something different from the typical sushi omakase—and love high-quality beef—this is a must-try in Atlanta. #Atlanta #ATL #Omakase #Wagyu #JapaneseCuisine #FineDining #FoodieReview #HiddenGem #SpecialOccasion #DateNight #AtlantaEats
