Autumn Escape to Vogel State Park πποΈ
Drove two hours from Midtown to this stunning lake nestled in the North Georgia mountains β and wow, the views did not disappoint! π By 4 PM, the sun was casting a golden glow from behind the mountain ridges, lighting up a few brilliant yellow maple trees along the lake's edge. Absolutely magical β¨ We took the lakeside loop β about 1.5 hours with stops for photos πΈ β though the park offers longer trails into the woods. Those didnβt feel as special; the real star here is the lake itself. So serene, so photogenic! Loved the cozy cabins and BBQ pits around the shore π‘π β some are even free to use and perfect for group gatherings. That saidβ¦ if youβre only coming for the lake loop, the 2-hour drive might feel a bit long for what it is. Weβd planned to catch sunset at nearby Bell Mountain afterward, but by 6 PM, thick clouds rolled in βοΈβ¦ so we called it a day and headed back.
