Baltimore's Hong Kong Wok Brings Me Back to Chinese Street Food

Who would have thought that a trip to Costco for groceries would lead to such an amazing wok meal? My roommate and I ordered 4 dishes + 1 soup for just over $40, and the taste was authentically Chinese—no long waits, quick service, and definitely a place we’ll return to again and again! 1️⃣ Dry-Fried Beef Ho Fun 9/10 Highly recommended! Wok hei (breath of the wok) was strong, the beef was plentiful, and every bite was incredibly fragrant. Best of all, it was only $15—absolutely worth it! The only downside was it felt a bit oily. 2️⃣ Salt & Pepper Shrimp 8/10 My roommate couldn’t stop eating these—they were almost gone as soon as they hit the table. The shrimp were fried perfectly crispy, shells and all, with a fragrant hint of basil. Truly classic Chinese salt & pepper style! 3️⃣ Salt & Pepper Pork Chops 7/10 Similar seasoning and style as the shrimp. The pork chops were large and hearty, though less flavorful due to their size. Still, great value for the price! 4️⃣ XO Sauce Fish Fillet 9/10 My personal favorite! The fish was lightly battered and wok-fried with bitter melon until crispy-edged, then tossed in savory-sweet XO sauce. Perfect with rice—I couldn’t stop eating it! 5️⃣ Beef Soup 8/10 Reminiscent of West Lake Beef Soup—clear broth with tender diced beef and mushrooms. Complimentary before the meal and exactly what two hungry people needed! The owner mentioned the restaurant just opened in March and isn’t widely known among international students yet, possibly because it’s tucked near Costco. The crowd is mostly American, but the service was warm and attentive—they gladly recommended dishes beyond what we ordered. Next time, we’re trying the Hong Kong dim sum and spicy wok dishes! 💡 Pro tip: Check out the $33 3-course combo—great deal! 📌 Name:Asian Court 📌 Address: 10209 Grand Central Ave suite 101, Owings Mills, MD 21117 #StudyInUS #ChineseFood #ComfortFood #StreetFoodVibes #BaltimoreEats #CantoneseFood #AuthenticChinese #HiddenGems
