We were disappointed with the dim sum at this restaurant. Options are limited in the Baltimore area and we were excited to try our Asian Court. In all fairness, we went on Father's Day, which may not have been representative of their normal dim sum service.
The good: Easy free parking in garages next to restaurant Har gow (shrimp dumplings) were large with a good amount of shrimp
The bad: Most of the rest of the food was ok but not great. Most of the food came cold/barely warm. Limited selection of dim sum dishes Tea was very weak. They put one tea bag in a large tea pot. Even after steeping for 10-15 min, it was a very pale color and even my kids described it as tasting like barely tea-flavored water. Service was not friendly. They seemed annoyed when we asked for water and for a couple forks for the youngest kids. We felt pressured to accept items even when we had told them no once. Everyone seems stressed/flustered. All of the dishes/silverware came out wet and several items still had some remaining food on them. We called the day before to make a reservation, but it was clear when we arrived that they don't care about reservations (when I told them I had a reservation, they didn't check anywhere and we still had to wait 15+ min). If they don't actually honor reservations, they should have just said so on the phone.
Overall, not a great experience. We might give it one more try on a less busy day given the good reviews and lack of better options nearby, but this was very...

My family and I went to the new Asian Court in Owings Mills for DimSum. It was not a good experience.
Food 2/5 The food temp ranged from cold to luke warm. We ordered two orders of turnip cakes which both came out cold. I asked them to reheat them 3 times and each time it still came out cold. I spoke with the lady manager/owner about the dish being cold and she raised her voice saying there is nothing she can do. She stated that the food will come out cold no matter what because it had to travel from the kitchen. What a joke.
Service: 2/5 The service is slow and unorganized. I ordered the beef noodle soup at the beginning of the meal. The wrong dish was ordered and took 30min to come out after I ask for an update repeatedly. I ordered an order of shark fin dumplings. I was told a few minutes later that they were out. To my surprise the table next to mine received the dumplings at the end of our meal. The male manager tried to make it better by comping an order.
I would not recommend this restaurant for dimsum. I would recommend going to DimSum Palace in EC for a much...
Read moreAsian Court is a Chinese restaurant that opened recently. It has an extensive menu including lots of old favorites and some new {to me) offerings.
The fried noodles they put on the table when we first arrived are the best table noodles in the Baltimore area. We had wonton soup, delicious, and shrimp spring roll appetizers. Also delicious.
We ordered entrees from the chef's specialty portion of the menu. My wife had shrimp tempura and walnuts in a mayo sauce. It was amazing. I had eggplant with fish and chicken. It was outstanding.
We had jasmine tea, The tea was great.
Street parking is free if available. If not, there's a free multi-level parking structure across the street and a free parking lot behind the building.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu.
The decor is quite nice, and the service is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the Asian...
