🍜 Baltimore Eats | Mi & Yu & The Local Fry - JHU Student Favorites!

These two spots were my go-tos when I first arrived at JHU six years ago. Recently revisited, and they’ve improved! Plus, their location is super convenient—right below the Icon building. 📍 The Rotunda, 711 W 40th St, Baltimore, MD 21211 🅿️ Parking is easy with a garage nearby. Also love Toki Taco and Mod Pizza here for quick bites! 🔥 Mi & Yu Asian fusion noodles. Their duck noodles are hyped but mediocre. This time we tried: BBQ Pork Belly Noodles: Korean-style, less sweet with chili powder—soft savory pork belly + lots of scallions to cut richness! Soy Miso Braised Beef Ramen: Shredded beef with strong broth flavor + tasty kimchi bits. 🔥 The Local Fry Specializes in loaded fries! We got the Hawaiian-style: bacon, pineapple, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and Kewpie mayo—a calorie bomb! 🍍🍟 Tasty but overly sweet—best shared with 3-4 people. Skip their other dishes; focus on the fries! 🎓 Verdict: Solid dinner options for JHU students—accessible via shuttle/night ride. Fun fact: My first post-tooth extraction meal was at Mi & Yu! Now graduating soon~ 😭 Interested in a JHU-area food guide? Let me know! #BaltimoreEats #JHUBaltimore #DMVFood #DMVDining #JHU
