I have been going to Mi & Yu Noodles since 2016 and the food NEVER disappoints. However, I recently visited the new location and was very concerned with how dirty the place was.
The bathrooms were filthy - worse than a gas station bathroom. The trashcan was overflowing. The toilet paper was on the bar next to the toilet instead of on the holder. The sink was covered in dirt and grime; I felt like there was almost no point in washing my hands since everything was visibly covered in dirt. For awareness, this is the same bathroom staff use.
The dining area is also dirty. It was hard for us to find a clean table. The trash was overflowing, as was the station with the dirty trays and bowls. It seemed as though trash had accumulated throughout the day and the staff only began cleaning up after other guests were trying to figure out where to dispose their trash (it was that full!).
Mi & Yu Noodle Bar is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore and I'm so glad it continues to thrive, but after today's dining experience I'm concerned about the...
Read moreI arrived at 8:30 and was told I had to get take out because they close at 9. I was annoyed but said ok. And then we got our food at 845 and I was like, we are going to eat some of it here, and the guy was like we close at 9. Ok, but what restaurant kicks people out at closing time? We left without him asking at 9, but I was so annoyed. In addition he kicked out people who were still eating their food in hand to throw out their noodles! Then I get home and put my meal together in a bowl, and figured out the noodles were wheat noodles, not rice and I'm gluten free. Oh and the $5 duck fat fries we shared in the restaurant were soggy, not heated to temperature.
On top of all this a black couple walked in at 8:50 and was denied service because they close at 9! I don't actually think it was racist, but it could have been. I felt pretty uncomfortable about it.
If you want to close at 9, then say 8 like other restaurants and let people eat until they are finished in the dining room. I was really turned off by the...
Read moreSo my 1st time at this location. I’ve been visiting the Federal Hill location since they opened. I ALWAYS eat the exact same thing and ordered it here. I love the short ribs, ramen and kimchi broth. What I was served here was short ribs, ramen and I assume the new spicy miso. Because you know, I tasted miso and some sort of spicy. I definitely know it wasn’t the kimchi broth. My issue isn’t the mistake. It happens. But when I went to counter to discuss with Enrique I assume, his response was to ask me “how do you know?” How do I know what?! So I actually have to go back and forth with this man which I found really insulting. To have to explain and darn near plead to get what I paid for? It’s definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Enough to write this review while I endure a ridiculous wait for my order to be corrected. Mind you, the rest of my party has eaten and are irritated at the wait. Small issue that poor customer service...
