🦀 Baltimore Food Journey – A Crab Lover‘s Dream!

As autumn begins to paint Boston with cool breezes 🍂, we seized the chance to visit Baltimore before the new semester begins. And what better way to start than with food – especially my favorite: CRAB! 🦀 Phillips Seafood Restaurant is located right in the sparkling heart of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor 🌊. Maryland is famous for its crabs, and Phillips’ menu celebrates this in every way possible – from creamy crab soup and cheesy crab pasta to crab cakes and crab salads… I’m convinced the chefs here are true crab artists! 👨🍳🎨 But the real star – the must-try dish – is their handmade crab cake. As their website proudly states: “Year after year since 1956, we’ve made our crab cakes by hand daily in our restaurant kitchens.” And it shows! 🏆 The crab meat is tender, lightly seasoned to enhance (not overpower!) the natural sweetness of the crab. The chunks are large – like garlic-clove-sized – which any crabber knows means only the biggest, meatiest crabs are used 🦀💪. This isn’t some machine-pressed patty; it’s hand-formed with just the right touch. Golden-brown outside, never dry or burnt 🔥, each bite gives you that perfect mix of delicate binding and generous lump crab meat. I dug deeper and found out their recipe uses bread crumbs – who knew? That might just be their secret! Other dishes were fantastic too: Lobster tail 🦞 – cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful Fresh oysters 🦪 – served with three stunning sauces And so much more! A highly, HIGHLY recommended spot whether you’re a local or just passing through. 📍 Phillips Seafood, Inner Harbor, Baltimore #Baltimore #Seafood #BlueCrab #Maryland #CrabCakes #Foodie #TravelDining
