Barrie Getaway | MSL Ski Trip & Nearby Eats
🎿 Spent the long weekend hitting the slopes at MSL (Mount St. Louis Moonstone) with my partner—here’s a quick food recap from the trip! Despite some fog (low visibility), the snow was soft and fresh, and most lifts were open. Crowds were light, making for a smooth ski day. 🇮🇳 AMAYA Indian Cuisine Wait time was brutal (thanks to a big group in the back), and the food? Well… let’s just say Indian cuisine isn’t my favorite, but this place made it worse. Butter Chicken: Unbearably sweet—like dessert?! Spices can’t save this. 😅 Fish Masala: Shockingly edible—salty and spicy. Maybe it just seemed good next to the sugar-chicken. Grilled Chicken Leg: Actually decent! Crispy skin, tender inside, well-marinated. 🍺 Canadian Brewhouse (Barrie) A nationwide chain pub—solid for drinks and bar bites. Drinks: Girls, try the apple cider! My partner swears by Blue Moon. Food: Their loaded nachos are TOP-TIER (3 dips = no boredom). Nacho lovers, this is your spot! 🥣 Waiting Pho U Perfect post-ski meal—warming, comforting, and tasty. Pho: Rich broth, generous meat portions. Fish Sauce Chicken Wings: Sweet-salty with a funky twist (in a good way!). #Toronto #SkiFood #BarrieEats #MountStLouis #WinterGetaway #PhoLover #IndianFood #PubGrub #FoodieAdventures
