Belgrade | Saint Sava Church.
The Saint Sava Church was pretty much the only attraction I visited during my several days in Belgrade—but what a masterpiece it was! ⛪💫 📍 Easy to Find: Located right in the city center, it’s super accessible by bus 🚌. This Byzantine-style Orthodox church dazzles with its golden dome and walls covered in biblical frescoes 🎨. Watching devout worshippers gently kiss the image of Jesus at the entrance was a moving sight. ⬇️ Hidden Gem: Descending the stairs leads to an underground chapel—quieter, with fewer visitors, making it perfect for a peaceful moment 🤫. Though still unfinished, its raw beauty is absolutely worth exploring. 👶 A Surprise Ceremony: I even stumbled upon a baptism! A prominent local family stood solemnly as the priest prayed, while their baby wailed loudly—its cries echoing dramatically through the vast, sacred space... a moment I won’t forget. 😮 ⏳ Not Enough Time! I really wish I’d explored more—I heard Novi Sad’s hills hide stunning 16th-century monasteries 🏰🌿. Next time, Serbia, next time! #Serbia 🇷🇸 #TravelSerbia ✈️ #SaintSavaChurch ⛪
