Best Spots for a City Walk: A Summary of the Highlights
Florence is definitely the best place for a city walk. On the one hand, the ancient city is not large, and you can cover it all in a day. On the other hand, each stop offers unexpected highlights. Here’s my recommended route based on my own experience:❤️❤️❤️ First stop : Uffizi Gallery (plan to spend about 2 hours here). Exiting through the back door brings you to:😁😁😁 Second stop : Piazza della Signoria (enjoy a coffee, relax, and take in the atmosphere for about half an hour). A short walk down the side street will take you to: Third stop : Piazza della Repubblica (take some photos, about 20 minutes). Continue forward for another 200 meters to reach:😍😍😍 Fourth stop : Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore) (the most essential highlight, plan for 2 hours). For the final stop, after a long day of walking, head to Piazzale Michelangelo to sit down, have a drink, and enjoy the panoramic views of the city. It’s very relaxing (about 1 hour). This route is the most straightforward and least tiring. There’s no need to run around; all the highlights are right here. Florence is a city that you must experience at a slow pace. A leisurely stroll is the essence of exploring Florence, not a rushed visit.😀😀😀 #citywalk #Florence #Firenze #FlorenceCathedral #UffiziGallery
