Big portions, bold flavors! Toulouse’s best budget-friendly bistro.
As an international student who’s *obsessed* with good food 🤤, I want to share my hidden gem restaurants in Toulouse—all super budget-friendly, places I frequent, and totally friendly to Chinese taste buds 😝! 1. Pizzeria d'Alexis - Near St Cyprien My colleagues and I are *obsessed* with this pizzeria—we go once a week! Perfect for those who love thick crusts. Girls, a small pizza will fill you up; guys with bigger appetites, go for the large 🍕 (Pic 3). 2. NAKANO CURRY - Near Saouzelong I’m *obsessed* with this curry spot 🍛! Run by a French guy, it’s a tiny little place hidden in a residential area—easy to miss. The magic? Their curry pairs *perfectly* with fried chicken cutlets, no weird sauces. Highly recommend their curry chicken katsu with omurice! (Pic 2) 😋 3. Médina Fall Food - Near Place Dupuy An African restaurant specializing in Senegalese dishes—great for first-timers! I love their Thieb or Mafé. Thieb is a stewed rice with tomatoes and meat broth—go for chicken or beef (the fish version is a bit fishy 🥲). Mafé is meat stewed in peanut sauce with rice, also delicious 😋. Takeout or pickup only (Pic 1). 4. Pachinee Thaï Street Food - Near Jean Jaurès A tiny Thai spot! The flavors aren’t “Europeanized”—tastes just like what I had in Thailand. It’s *super* small, so book a table if dining in. Run by an auntie, and they sell out fast—go early! 😁 All these are small, family-run or owner-operated spots, with homemade vibes. Except the pizzeria, the others are tiny—make reservations! 😉 If you like this series, next time I can share French restaurants or other eats 🥰🥰! #Travel #Tourism #ToulouseTravel #ToulouseTourism
