Blue Duck Tavern
🦆 Cured Ocean Trout This dish, served as an appetizer, didn't leave a strong impression on me. The smoked trout has a moderate flavor. The caviar is so minimal that it can be disregarded. The garnish of radish and celery is very refreshing. Overall, it's an average dish. 🦆 Wood Oven-Roasted Bone Marrow Although the restaurant is most famous for its duck, I was most looking forward to this beef marrow. As soon as this dish was served, I was enveloped in its aroma. The beef marrow is roasted to a sizzling, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The garlic is also roasted until very soft. I recommend spreading a layer of melted garlic on the bread and then adding a spoonful of beef marrow—it's truly exceptional 🥺. 🦆 Roasted Rohan Duck Breast The dish comes with two duck breasts and a duck leg. The duck breast is firm in texture, and the skin is roasted just right. The smoky flavor paired with the sweet and sour strawberry sauce is quite unique. I found the duck leg a bit dry, and the skin not crispy enough. I've heard there's a secret menu item with a whole duck. Interested friends can inquire in advance~ 🦆 Pan-Seared Scallops I really enjoyed this dish. The scallops are pan-seared to a golden brown on the outside without affecting their tender texture on the inside. Served with pan-seared zucchini and a special sauce, it's perfect for alleviating the richness from the previous two dishes. 📍Blue Duck Tavern: 1201 24th St NW, Washington, DC 20037 #Blue Duck Tavern #Washington #Duck
