Boring OKC? Found a Hidden Gem of a Korean Restaurant! š“
Iāve lived in Oklahoma City for three whole years, and I canāt believe I just stumbled upon this amazing Korean spotātotal āwhere have you been all my lifeā vibes! š± We walked in around 9 PM (super late for dinner!), and the place was still packedāalmost every table was full. Thatās always a good sign, and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. š°š· Vibe: Authentic Korean Feel First off, the restaurantās decor is full of little Korean-inspired detailsāthink warm wooden accents, Korean posters on the walls, and cozy lighting that feels like a casual pocha (Korean street food spot) back in Seoul. Itās not fancy, but itās so invitingāyou instantly feel like youāre in a friendās cozy neighborhood spot, not just another generic restaurant. The energy was great tooāsoft chatter, the smell of Korean spices wafting from the kitchen, and just a laid-back vibe that made the whole meal feel fun. š² The Food: Tasty & Perfect for Sharing We ordered three dishes for two people, and it was the perfect amountāno leftovers, but no stuffed-to-the-brim discomfort either! Ginseng Chicken Soup (Samgyetang): Total comfort food at its best! The chicken was tender, falling off the bone, and the broth was rich, savory, and packed with ginsengās subtle earthy flavor. Itās warm, nourishing, and exactly what you want on a cool OKC night (or even a random late evening!). Kimbap (Seaweed Rolls): Classic kimbap done right! The rice was fluffy, the fillings (carrots, cucumber, egg, and beef) were fresh and well-balanced, and each bite was just the right mix of textures. Itās simple, but so satisfyingāgreat for snacking on while waiting for the main dishes. Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes): Chewy, spicy, and addictive! The rice cakes were soft but had a nice bounce, and the sauce was boldāspicy enough to give a little kick, but not so hot that it overpowered the flavor. We dipped the kimbap in the sauce sometimes, and it was chefās kiss. š¹ The Drink: Insanely Big Margarita! Now, letās talk about the margaritaāwow. It was MASSIVEālike, half the size of my face! š² I was shocked when they set it down; I didnāt think Iād finish it, but it was actually really goodāfresh, tangy, and not too sweet. It paired surprisingly well with the spicy tteokbokki, and it made the late-night meal feel extra festive. š Location Name: Seoul Pocha (ģģøķ¬ģ°Ø) Address: 1520 NW 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73106 Overall, this was such a great find! For someone whoās felt āmehā about OKCās food scene sometimes, this spot was a breath of fresh air. Itās tasty, affordable, has a great vibe, and itās open lateāperfect for when youāre craving something more exciting than fast food at night. Iāll definitely be coming back (and bringing friends next time)! #NightlifeModeOn #HiddenGemRestaurant #Oklahoma #EatDrinkCapture #StressReliefWithFoodAndDrinks
