Boston | Afraid It Might Get Too Popular

But It’s Definitely Worth a Special Trip Boston hasn’t had a restaurant that’s really wowed me in a while. I knew it would be good, but I didn’t expect it to be this good. Unfamiliar and novel combinations of ingredients yield surprisingly delicious results. 🥘 Chuletillas de Cordero $15 Grilled lamb chops with peach sauce - an unexpected but very suitable pairing. The peach is grilled on the surface, and the sauce seems to be a reduction of lamb juice and peach (just a guess), a salty and fresh lamb flavor with a hint of peach fruit freshness. The lamb chops are simply delicious, and the combination with peach sauce is surprisingly fitting. This is a first for me! 🥘 Pato Braseado $18 Roasted duck leg with blackberry sauce. Another novel combination for me, the blackberry sauce is rich and sweet, cutting through the richness of the duck, providing a very fruity flavor. The duck skin is crispy with no gamey taste, and the two combine beautifully! Unlike the lamb with peach sauce, this blackberry sauce is pure and pronounced, subduing the duck flavor. 🥘 Tortilla Española $8 The Spanish omelette was an impulse addition to the order, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious with a rich texture and flavor. Eggs/potatoes/onions with garlic aioli. Very substantial and aromatic! 🥘 Mariscos en Crema de Camarones $30 Instead of the classic paella, we chose this creamy shrimp sauce seafood rice, which was incredibly delicious! The seafood was abundant, fresh, and bouncy, with a generous serving of scallops, squid, mussels, shrimp, and octopus. The rice was slightly undercooked, but the sauce was so good, creamy, and very fresh, with some mysterious complex spices. 🍹 Mango Caipirinha $14 Recommended by the staff, this cocktail features Cachaça, muddled lime, and mango purée. The base liquor is a Brazilian one similar to rum. Quite tasty! Not too sweet and very refreshing. The cocktail menu is extensive, all at $14. Worth exploring! 🍹 Passionfruit Mojito $7 My friend ordered the non-alcoholic version, and it’s even better than the classic mojito! Average cost: $56 It would be lower if you don’t order drinks. The portions of tapas are quite small, so two people could comfortably share four dishes. The restaurant atmosphere is great, dimly lit, perfect for a date, with a rich and passionate decor style. The tableware and tables are very colorful. It’s recommended to make a reservation! By 5:30 on weekends, there are already quite a few people waiting to get in. Tip: If there are no available spots online, you can call to make a reservation. #BostonFood #FoodDiary #SpanishCuisine #BostonEats #BostonFoodExploration
