They say it’s the peak of specialty coffee in Boston, but the quality is… well, hard to describe πŸ˜…. First, I went to the newly opened branch on Newbury. The milk coffee made with dark roast beans had a bitter, messy taste – no roasted aroma, no latte art either πŸ˜‘. Tried a pour-over Yemen bean too – too high in acidity, not really my thing πŸ‹. At least the portion was generous β˜•οΈ. Then on Thanksgiving Day, when other coffee shops were closed, the downtown location was still open. Gave it another try, but maybe because there were so many customers that day, the quality was still disappointing πŸ˜”. The Ethiopian Geisha was just okay, but the matcha latte actually tasted pretty good πŸ΅πŸ‘.
