π Boston Day Trip: Rockport π True to its name, there are a lot of "rocks"! Just under an hour's drive north of Boston, it's the perfect destination for a short getaway. ποΈ Exploring the Town Leisurely Stroll: Wandering around the town is delightful, though with kids in tow, we mostly did window shopping. π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Seaside Fun: There's a beach for playing in the sand and rocky shorelines for a bit of hiking. The kids absolutely loved hopping from rock to rockβit's a fun little challenge! π§ββοΈ π ΏοΈ Parking Tip Arrive Early: We got there before 10 AM and found street parking easily, but it can get much harder later in the day. ποΈ Must-Visit: Halibut Point State Park After exploring the town and having lunch, a visit to nearby Halibut Point State Park is highly recommended! Parking Fee: According to the official website, parking fees apply after May 14th. Spectacular Views: Walk to the end to see waves crashing against the rocks and creating dramatic splashesβtruly οΌπ Family Experience: The kids insisted on sitting on rocks where the waves almost reached them. There are plenty of lower rocks further from the sea, providing a safe distance for play.
