Boston Diary 12|What I've Been Eating in Boston Lately 2.0

Long time no see, everyone! This edition of the Boston food exploration tour is even more diverse, covering Thai food, American diners, brunch spots, and more. Rod Thai Family Taste 📍94 Peterborough St, Boston, MA 02215 💰Per person: $15-20 A relatively affordable restaurant. The Pad Thai was a bit too sweet, but the Green Papaya Salad was excellent. Texas Roadhouse 📍31 Mystic View Rd, Everett, MA 02149 💰Per person: $30+ A bit far from downtown, this chain restaurant hits you with strong Texas vibes as soon as you walk in. The complimentary bread is amazing (unlimited refills + takeaway allowed!). Mainly focused on steak dinner sets. Milkweed 📍1508 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02120 💰Per person: $25+ A brunch spot very close to school. Went at 10 AM on a Sunday and had to wait about 20 minutes. The portions are huge and the plates are loaded—tastes great too 👍 Hao Shi Guang (Good Food Time) 📍48 Harvard Ave, Allston, MA 02134 💰Per person: $25+ The number of photos I took is directly proportional to how delicious it was! A famous and tasty Chinese restaurant I'd heard so much about. The staff includes many warm-hearted aunties from Northeast China. The only downside is the slow service (went twice, average wait for the first dish was over 30 minutes). Thonglor 📍559 Washington St, Brighton, MA 02135 💰Per person: $30 This Thai restaurant is located in a residential community, not too central. The dishes feel very authentic to local Thai cuisine. The flavors were all delicious! The mango wasn't in season, so the Mango Sticky Rice wasn't great. Liu Yi Shou (Hot Pot) 💰Per person: $60+ Tried their all-you-can-eat option. Only limited meat selections are included in the buffet, everything else needs to be ordered à la carte. The sauce bar is extensive, and the side dishes on it were especially tasty. Li Yin Chang Fen (Rice Noodle Rolls) 💰Per person: $20+ Very authentic to the taste you'd get in Guangzhou. The red rice noodle rolls are recommended! Solid, dependable flavors. Yunnan Kitchen 📍1721 Washington St B, Boston, MA 02118 #Food #MyStudyAbroadStory #BostonStudyAbroad #BostonFoodExploration #BostonEats #Plog
