4/20 update: my friends and I got food as usual. Wasn't too busy when we first got there at 6pm but it picked up by 7. We ordered a second round of food, mainly desserts. Got the Thai donuts and mango sticky rice. The donuts were like beignets...small fluffy balls of deep fried dough, served with condensed milk. The mango sticky rice was delicious. However at some point, the woman working there asked if we need anything else and was a bit short. Basically she was rushing us out but I was literally still eating. It ruined the experience a bit. We weren't just sitting around and taking up a table. Maybe she was just having a bad day which unfortunately affected us as well. Knocking off a star for now, hoping it'll be better next time. I love this place but definitely not a first date type of spot. It's like going to the family's kitchen where they serve food, no BS, on plain plates and silverware.

This time around I got the Crispy Chicken Pad Thai. The portion isn't huge but good for a meal. The chicken was tasty, Pad Thai wasn't too sweet. Would totally get it again.

Also got the basil fried rice. My wife didn't like it much but I finished it so... It's not bad at all.

The menu is pretty extensive as far as different variations of the noodles. The seating is limited indoors but they have picnic tables...

This cozy little cash only joint seats 12-15 people and serves up some high quality Thai food at a good price. My wife and I shared the Thai salad, the fried pork with basil sauce, and the Pad Thai. The fried pork was really good - crispy with nice basil-y flavors and a nice amount of heat. The Pad Thai was excellent. The Thai salad was not entirely what I expected...I expected something more along the lines of a traditional Thai salad. What we got was giant hunks of iceberg lettuce with some veggies, eggs, and tofu covered in peanut dressing. I looked up at my wife with disappointing eyes, realizing that I should have inquired about the contents of said salad before I ordered. I took a bite only to find all my disappointment disappear. That tasty peanut dressing made it all ok. Then I realized that maybe it's a genius move to use that tasteless iceberg as a vehicle for getting that all that delicious peanut dressing into my mouth. Well played, Rod-Dee.

My takeaway from the evening? Excellent food, fantastic and friendly service, and larger-than-my-mouth sized hunks of iceberg lettuce for getting that peanut dressing into...

One of my all time favorite Thai spots in Massachusetts. This was my absolute favorite in college and I still love coming in for a quick bite to eat knowing my cravings will be satisfied.

I got their crab rangoon and drunken noodles. The crab rangoon are always perfectly deep fried with a super crunchy exterior and creamy crab interior filling. The sweet and slightly sour sauce paired perfectly with every bite. So easy to have a platter of these!

Their drunken noodles hit the spot EVERY time. A perfect flavor combo of salty, spicy and sweet. Salty from the soy sauce. Spicy from the chili oil. And sweet from the delicious juices from the veggies stir fried in. The rice noodles had such a perfect bite (think of the ultimate Al dente pasta) and the wideners/thickness of the noodles is a game changer! The more surface area the more flavor and sauce it was able to absorb and hold for every delicious bite! Yummmm!

Rod Dee hits the spot every time, highly recommend if you haven’t been! I already know I’ll be...

The food tasted okay. However the larger issue was the quality of the food. I Ordered late at night so I understand that it might not be as fresh as food ordered during regular hours which is understandable. However, I found 2 hairs in my mouth while I was eating and that made me feel quite uneasy, especially during this current COVID-19 pandemic. In general, finding hairs in the food your eating can pose a risk to your personal health and safety, but even more so for the fact that we are currently in a pandemic. I know the hairs weren’t mine as I had started eating right as I opened the lid and I have also recently dyed my hair to a lighter color than the hairs I had found, so I know for certain these hairs were not mine. I normally don’t write reviews like this and I really want to support local businesses during these tough times. But, I felt a strong urge to write this honest review to inform others. I’d want other potential customers to be able to make the most informed decision when choosing where to eat.

$7.50 chicken satay came with only 3 small skewers and sickly sweet peanut sauce. The pale pad thai pictured below was way too fishy for my taste (I guess it is authentic though) and more importantly came with a borderline sour, vinegary smell that wasn't appetizing at all. The whole dish looked like it spent less than 30 seconds being heated up with frozen meat and then crammed into the container. I didn't eat more than a bite of this. The food came in a plastic bag when basically every restaurant has moved to paper bags, and the staff was aloof while I was picking up the order. The only good thing is that the food came out quickly despite them being busy, but I'd rather they spent more time working on making a good meal.
