Boston Hidden Gem | A Small But Unique Waterworks Museum
The Waterworks Museum is right next to Boston College, a place I often pass by, and this time I finally managed to check it out. ⏰ I once tried to visit on a Tuesday and found it closed, only to learn that it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and open from Wednesday to Sunday. ⚙️ It’s quite small, and you can see everything in about half an hour, but there are many large machines, which is pretty impressive. It’s a museum that focuses on physical exhibits. 📢 The website says there are guided tours at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm, but I arrived a little after 2:00 pm and didn’t see any tours, so I’m not sure how accurate that is. 💰 Admission is free🆓, which is great for a quick visit if you’re in the area. However, it’s a bit far from the city center and other attractions, and there isn’t a lot to see, so it’s not necessary to make a special trip. ⚠️ The museum has a strong smell of oil, so you might consider wearing a mask or reducing your stay. 🅿️据说There are reportedly 20 free parking spaces, but there’s also street parking within a 5-10 minute walk near the reservoir. 📷 You can also take a stroll around the adjacent reservoir; the scenery is quite beautiful, much cleaner than your average lake. Many residents walk, jog, and walk their dogs there. #BostonFoodAndFun #BostonLife #HiddenGem #WorthVisitingMuseums #LocalSecrets #BostonMuseums #BostonAttractions
