Boston Restaurant Week at The Elephant Walkđ
Today, I checked out The Elephant Walk for Boston Restaurant Week. This is a Cambodian + French fusion restaurant. I went with the intention of trying Cambodian cuisine, and the experience was very pleasant. The ambiance of the restaurant is very elegant, and the service is top-notch. We ordered the Dine Out Menu for two, plus an appetizer and a main course. Leah Chah - Highly recommended! The nine-layer tower really brings out the freshness of the mussels, and the broth is incredibly sweet and savory. Rouleaux - Fried Cambodian spring rolls. The variety of green vegetables that come with it left us a bit confused; it feels like we could just add a bowl of pho and put the sides in, haha. The spring rolls are very crispy, but the filling is glass noodles and some mixed vegetables, which I personally didnât love too much. đ„Č Kari Tieh - Green curry stewed duck. The curry flavor is more mild compared to Thai style, with a heavier coconut milk taste. Paired with duck, the dish is quite light, with noodles and cabbage shreds at the bottom. đ Amok Royale - A Khmer specialty seafood medley, with fish, shrimp, scallops, and crab meat. The flavors are primarily curry and coconut milk, a classic Southeast Asian taste. đ€ Sangkhia lâPao - This feels like the Cambodian version of a three-milk cake. The cake base is made with egg yolk and pumpkin, with a soft and glutinous texture, rich in egg flavor, and moderate sweetness. Paired with coconut shreds and coconut milk, itâs very harmonious. đ„„ #BostonRestaurantWeek #BostonRestaurantRecommendations #BostonLife #DineOutBoston
