Boston School Visit: MIT & Its Museum 🏛️🔬
This afternoon, we visited MIT and its museum. MIT has a completely different vibe compared to Harvard—like a straightforward tech genius with no time for frills! 🧠⚙️ While it doesn’t have a traditional “campus” meant for strolling, every building and even classrooms are open to explore. We walked into one building and found giant steel tanks in the hallway 🛢️, and classroom doors flashed red warning lights ⚠️—yet visitors were still welcome. How much confidence does it take to be this open? That’s MIT for you: bold, trusting, and totally secure in its mission. The MIT Museum is a compact but fascinating paid museum (Adults: $18, Kids: $10). Even with limited English, my kid spent over 3 hours in there—it’s that engaging! 🎭🤖 Highlights include: Interactive exhibits and games that make you part of the science 🎮 “Hey Jibo”, a cute little robot that dances and responds to voice commands 💃🗣️ A circuit-building activity where we successfully lit up a hand-drawn Christmas tree with colorful LEDs! 🎄💡 It was totally worth the trip—fun, educational, and very MIT. #MIT #Museum #Boston #FamilyTravel #STEM #Robots #TechFun #HandsOnLearning #SchoolTour 🚀🧪
