🌿 Brazos Bend State Park (Houston's Alligator Park)
Brazos Bend State Park is just a 40-minute drive from Houston.🍐🎼 😊When we went, we didn’t see any alligators—maybe they went back to their "homes"—only rabbits 🐰 and snakes 🐍. ✔️ Observe wild alligators up close ✔️ Encounter hopping cottontail rabbits and swamp rabbits🎉 ✔️ Spot Texas-native snake species (most non-venomous)🌳 ✔️ A paradise for birdwatchers (over 300 bird species recorded)🌙🌙 📍 Four Must-Visit Spots 1️⃣ 40-Acre Lake The park’s iconic lake—don’t miss the trail around the lake! This is the best spot to observe alligators (keep a safe distance of over 5 meters). In the early morning, you can also see hares foraging in the grass.🌳 2️⃣ Elm Lake Observation Deck A fantastic photo spot! Egrets and herons are permanent residents on the lake. If you’re lucky at dusk, you might see a family of rabbits coming out to move around.🍉🍉 3️⃣ Creekfield Lake Boardwalk The best short trail for beginners (0.8 miles). Informational signs along the way help identify snake species (common non-venomous Texas rat snakes).👀 4️⃣ Hale Lake Secluded Area👉👈 A favorite among experienced visitors—it’s quiet with fewer people. You may have a chance to spot rare swamp rabbits and migratory waterbirds.🌿🌿 ⚠️ Safety Notes ✅ Keep a 15-foot distance when encountering alligators🍚 ✅ For snakes, remember: "Do not touch, do not disturb" ✅ It’s recommended to wear non-slip closed-toe shoes (wetlands are easy to slip on) ✅ Best visiting times: 2 hours after sunrise / 2 hours before sunset🍜 🌅 Head Out Now! The park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Admission: $7 per adult (free for children under 12)👣 Navigation search: Brazos Bend State Park 📸 Don’t forget to bring binoculars and a telephoto lens—you never know what amazing creatures you’ll encounter next.💞💞 #HoustonDayTrips #Zoo #AmazingWildlifeEncounters #HoustonParks #HoustonPhotography
