Brisbane Brunch Check-in

I've come to Brisbane, and their city really has so many brunch spots. These two have been recommended by many people, so I took some time out of my busy schedule to check them out 1️⃣ Mitr Dessert House & Dining Located in Brisbane City, this Thai-style brunch is super photogenic! 🍜 Scampi Black Pasta This is really delicious. The squid ink pasta is loaded with small seafood. The flavor isn't too strong and there's no fishy taste, with a perfect balance of sweetness and umami. The shrimp on top of the pasta is sprinkled with gold leaf, and there's a generous amount of caviar. 🥐 Soft Shell Crab with Croissant Soft-shell crab + croissant + fried enoki mushrooms, piled high like a small mountain. This one is just so-so, a bit oily. 🍞 Brick Toast Their signature dessert, matcha bread, is a bit like thick toast. The inside of the bread is fried until crispy, and it's quite sweet, which isn't my cup of tea. I ordered this simply for taking photos. 2️⃣ Mi Casa Cafe In South Brisbane, we took a taxi over the bridge to get here. After eating, it's very pleasant to take a walk in South Bank Parkland. 🍽️ Big Brekky The classic Big Breakfast. Usually, when I don't know what to eat for brunch, I'll order this. What's special about their version is the sausage and ham. The ham has a smoky sweetness, and all three different types of meat are good. There's also an Acai Bowl that's very beautiful, with the bottom of the bowl filled with oats. #BrisbaneLife #BrisbaneFood #BrisbaneFoodHunt #BrisbaneBrunch
