Brunch by the Sea, Mood with the Tide

The seaside Destiny Coast in San Diego is my go-to brunch spot on weekends. The ocean view here is truly unmatched—the restaurant is surrounded by blue waters, and sitting by the window, you can watch the waves rolling in, which instantly lifts your mood 😊. To be honest, though, the food isn’t as stunning as the view. The signature bread basket is just average, something you’d describe as “filling but not memorable” 🍞. Fortunately, there’s a Shakshuka dish that I quite like: simmered in a fragrant tomato sauce with poached eggs, and dipping bread into it is both tangy and cozy—pretty cute 🍳~ Thanks to its prime location, I never want to leave right after eating. The famous Scripps Pier is right next door, just a short stroll to the beach. I often wander slowly along the shoreline, listening to the waves, watching surfers, and occasionally spotting seagulls flying overhead 🌊. Mornings like this feel comfortable and relaxed, as if time has slowed down 🌅. Overall, if you’re looking for a brunch with an ocean view and a sea breeze, this is a great choice; but if you’re coming specifically for the food, you might be a little disappointed. Still, with the entire Pacific Ocean before your eyes, it’s all worth it 🌴. #SanDiegoBrunch #SeasideRestaurant #OceanView #WeekendRelaxation #Shakshuka #ScrippsPier #CaliforniaLife #FoodAndScenery
